Ball reaction overlap poll
« on: January 03, 2016, 12:19:07 PM »
So its a new year, and a good time (for me anyways) to evaluate my lineup, see what I'll keep, what I'd like to get to add to the lineup, etc.

I noticed that I am really middle heavy, with 1 or 2 options at the top (heavy) and light (dryer). I usually have trouble when they transition, so I look to add too many pieces into that spot because I have the most trouble with it.

So I pose the question to all of you. Do you find your arsenal too heavy in a certain reaction because you struggle the most with it?

I am sort of different. Balls that fit my game the best are medium to high rg (2.5 and up) with lower diffs (.035 and below). I load up on stuff like this and because of that, I have too much stuff in this area and not enough in the other areas. I am looking at adding a Jackal Carnage for the oily conditions and I have the lighter covered (Blue Green Centaur, Track Spare+, Roto Loco Solid).

I mean, I get excited. For me, I listed off balls like a Dark Matter, Break Down, and Unreal, but by looking at my bag now, and knowing how my stuff in that area rolls, do I NEED it? No. Would I like it? Sure!

So after I considered all that, I weeded out all the new stuff that I would like to punch and just decided on an Unreal.

Not necessarily because I struggle, but because the house conditions I bowl on are fairly similar.

I've got medium to light conditions covered pretty well but I noticed when I went to tournaments in Vegas I was lacking balls for oil so I'm starting to fill in the top of my arsenal.

I've got a Storm Ride, Pitch Black, Virtual Energy, and Brunswick Brute Strength that cover medium-light pretty well with different reaction shapes. I got a Motiv Revolt Havoc a little more than a month ago and then in the next month or so I'll pick up something like a Jackal Carnage or Nirvana to sit above everything for oil
