Just a Survey

How often do you guys get a new ball? Every time a new one comes out from your favorite company?

Usually one, maybe two per year.  Mostly to replace something that's either worn out or that I haven't had as much success with.  I don't subscribe to the Ball of the Month Club.  In fact, my "New" stuff is usually last years model to save some $$.

One new ball out of the pro-shop,
1-2 new ones off ebay,
1-2 used ones from various places...

NIB Brunswick Swamp Monster
NIB Track Freak
Added 2 more this season:
Used Track Hexplosion
NIB Hammer Big Blue spare


If I had the money, I'd buy one on a regular basis. Once I graduate from college, and start my job..I'll have a new ball on a monthly basis...

Money is a tight thing when you only work summers and because i just turned 15. I had 1200 bucks to spend after working before school started and now I'm down to 500. Bought an UI for 200 smackaroos and had a lot of work done to that ball as well pushing $50+. Just bought a PrimeTime sanded, which i a very nice ball, for $60 which was birthday money. And practice takes the rest away from my original sum. So as of right now, I cant buy anything.

Use to be almost every new Track ball I would get. Now since I no longer work in a center and can't afford that much maybe 1 a year. Damn I miss those days of having a new ball every other month lol.

As often as the wife lets me. I get 10-20 a week, so my mouth waters every week. This last year, 4....looking at another one, but the 'boss' has already said NO !!

When I see a need to fill within my league/tournament arsenal. I would say on average 2 or 3 a year, unless I see a good deal on something that I've been wanting to try and that may go up to 4 or 5 a year.

So far this year, I've bought 5. Only one I was planning on was my last one, an RS-1 to replace my SS Pearl. I had to buy a ball(Full Throttle)& shoes at Nationals, as Amtrak, in their infinite wisdom, decided my bowling equipment needed to go to Rochester, NY, instead of with me to Reno. The other 3(an old Faball Nail(circa 1985), as a spare ball experiment), a Dyno-Thane Explorer(basically a Thing with a solid soaker coverstock), and a burgundy Triumph TNT for oil, were Ebay specials I couldn't resist. The past 2 seasons, I bought 2 new balls per year.
