Ball Plug Question

what is the largest hole plugged or seen plugged on a ball ??  and did it last or break out ?? I have to plug a ball around the fingers approw 2 1/2 to 3 " oval and approx 2 " deep  just want to know if this will hold or crack again.

Wow, I really doubt that it won't crack.  Deep isn't usually much of an issue, I just plug in a few stages then.  But with one that wide, yi, I really don't think it'll hold up, besides being major hell to try and cut it when it sets up.  You can try, just don't hold your breath.

Being in adult leagues teaches you many things.  

1.  You're not on top anymore, but there are a lot more people that suck worse than you do now.  

2.  The myth about the youths having an easier shot is NOT TRUE.  I'd have an entire ring collection if it was.  

3.  Drunk adults are a lot funnier than drunk youths.

As a single hole we don’t plug anything over 1 3/8” (thumb slug holes).

We have done what you are talking about in drilling out cracking finger holes and end up with one large wide oval. We have had reasonable success with this. If you drill back thru the plug there is a good chance it will break out. If you have plugged the whole ball and don’t drill thru any of the plug it shouldn’t be a problem but try and keep the ball from tracking thru the plugged area.
