My NuBall arrived Wednesday, which was the beginning of my wonderful experience with this product (it wasn't slated to arrive until at least Thursday). It was packed well, and it comes with a small instruction pamphlet that is very clear about which piece is which and how to put it together. There is some assembly required, but there are literally only four pieces and all you have to do is set one on top of another. It is made from fairly high quality plastics.
The heating process works as expected, efficiently and evenly. There is a dial with which you can set the temperature, although I found the recommended 135* to be adequate. The process does give off a faint smell, but on a Good-->Bad scale I'd peg it as neutral. Still, it might cause you to consider setting it up in the garage.
Pros:
--The NuBall doesn't take up much space. I currently have it set on an endtable in my bedroom.
--The mechanical parts make very little sound.
--The instructions come with pictures of each part.
--The creator/manufacturer will replace broken parts for two years from the date of purchase.
--The heating process is very even. I haven't found any hot/cool spots on any of the balls I've done.
--About a million times more effective and repeatable than a hot water bath, in my opinion.
Cons:
--There is no power button, as far as I can tell. To turn it on or off you have to plug/unplug it from the outlet. Not a big deal, but it would be nice.
All in all, I'm extremely happy that I have this product. Much thanks to Charlest for bringing it to our attention.
