smoothest reacting ball
« on: December 06, 2003, 04:31:53 AM »
what in your opinion is the smoothest reacting ball on the market? i was just wondering as i thought about it because i have been finding myself throwing an old rhino pro gold due to the high over under reaction at my house lately. the shot is seriously bigger then the wall of china. i cant use anything even close to skid flip or else the thing will never reach the pocket. the problem is, the ball is so old, i would really like to find something new that isnt so packed with oil. so whats your suggestion?

Storm Barbed Wire,
Hammer Sling Blade
Columbia BeastMaster
Brunswick Power Groove Proactive Black (sanded)
Visionary Purple Ice Executioner
DynoThane Thing & Barrage
Ebonite V2 Sanded are some very even reacting balls in their box surface condition. They are for varying amounts of oil.

You can take a green (600 grit) or grey (1000 grit) ScotchBrite nylon pad to your Gold Rhino (which is a pearl) and GENTLY take off some of the shine/polish. This will make it grab the lane slightly earlier and make it react more evenly. DO it lightly, by hand and in stages so it does not get too rough too quickly.

Might also consider a storm ultra hot. They have been discontinued but you can still find them pretty easy. Very smooth ball and coverstock is very adjustable.

Good Luck, cooksey

ya i was thinking about going with the slate blue cuz the lanes arent real dry but the line im playing with my dead old rhino is not a real big swing shot. all those fluffers are the ones scoring and i had to play that shot sumhow. but keep comin with the suggestions!
