Ball Reviews Gathering in North Carolina

I am hosting a Ball Reviews Gathering at my center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
The date is May 28th 29th 30th.

The bowling center is:
 Creekside Lanes
1450 Trademart Blvd
Winston-Salem, NC 27127

Here is a Yahoo map link you can click on to make it easy to find the bowling center.

http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?name=&ed=xelZFep_0Tp3I5uVt4vmVP_gvXmvdEZLAAZBo3wJj4MTfktKKm.Edy2zo9qV7EH0jReCcT1vZL5qXU9._GxmcxUI7lOfy4pjZbBw_4ja4zMHLLUF3kK6&csz=Winston+Salem%2C+NC+27127-5646&desc=&mag=9&ds=g&state=NC&uzip=&country=us&BFClick=&BFKey=&resize=s

The airport to fly into is Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC. The official designation GSO for websites that want the airport code.
This is a nice small airport that is only 20 mins. From the bowling center.

A good clean but CHEAP hotel near the center is:
Extended Stay America The Winston-Salem - Hanes Mall Blvd. location

Current rate $45 per night. For a single. I think a double is $10 more per night

Rates are based on single occupancy. All rates are subject to change without notice and are based on arrival date, length of stay and room type. Taxes are not included.

Directions From Airport to the hotel:
From the airport (Piedmont Triad Int'l Airport), travel west on Airport Pkwy./Bryan Blvd. approximately 1 mile. Travel south on Hwy 68 for approximately 2 miles. Take I-40 West and travel approximately 20 miles. Take Exit 189 (Stratford Rd.). Turn right onto Stratford Rd. and travel approximately 100 yards. Turn left onto Hampton Inn Ct. Extended Stay America will be on the right.
Hotel address:
1995 Hampton Inn Ct.
Winston-Salem, NC 27103
Telephone: (336) 768-0075
Fax: (336) 768-7225
Miles From Piedmont Triad International Airport: 23

I did this about a year ago and the turn out was great with Ball Reviews posters coming from across the Country.
I know that new posters join the Ball Reviews forum every day and some of them may not know me.
I am a nationally known bowling coach and I get big bucks for making bad bowlers better and good bowlers great!
While this gathering is not a bowling camp I am offering some free coaching time to everyone that wants it. You can check out my website at www.bowl4fun.com

The gathering is about meeting the posters and having fun. We will have a handicap "bragging rights" tournament on a PBA pattern or Sport Shot.

The largest mall in the state is near by and Winston Salem is the home of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and we will be eating while they are still HOT.

If any of you are NASCAR fans we will be about 15 miles from Richard Childress Racing  http://www.rcrracing.com/Home/home.asp

If this post needs more info or you have any questions just post them here and I will answer. Lots of people may have the same question.
Please post here if you plan to attend.

I would also like some feedback on how many of you would like to buy an event t-shirt. If I have enough interest I can have them made.

Please post if you are coming.

I have not really set up a schedule of events yet because I
need a better Idea of how many people will be here. I am also
open to suggestions as to what the folks would like to do.

I'll likely be there Ron.  Just a matter of getting the days straight.  I might be closing on a house that weekend, so I'll have to keep my options open.  Currently, though, I'd like to think I'm coming.

Come on guys and gals, I'm coming from Southern Cali, I sure hope to meet more than just 4 or 5 of you.  I am looking forward to some of Ron's coaching/tips.  I missed out last year due to my limited time there.

My flight arrives in Greensboro at 4:21PM Friday, so anything for Friday evening through Sunday, count me in.  If anyone wants to do an early breakfast Monday, my flight out isn't until 12:50.

I am coming and I am going to try and drag straightUP7 with me even if its by his pony tail.  I will be driving though as I live near Charlotte, NC anyways.  I am definitely looking forward to it.  End of May should give me plenty of time to sharpen and polish my saws.

I should just quit bowling, oh wait I already tried that.

BrianN,
It's good to know that  things are working out better for you (work wise) this year.
You have some good ideas there.

Count me out, son has a soccer tournament in Wisconsin that weekend and I am also trying to bowl the ABT Chicagoland Open.
$10,000 for 1st place. (Won't be me but nice to dream!)

I'm in for anything with different lane conditions, or tournament like settings.  I'd be willing to chip in extra for the extra preparation or a small bragging rights prize.  I definitely need a coaching tune-up.  I'm sure Tweener2K4 would pay for them if the Scratch Doubles Tournament ran any longer.    I didn't get a lot out of the demo days last time, but they are a great thing to try.  If one is set up, I'll join as long as it's reasonable.

I have to cover vacation next week (2 guys off at once), so they have to let me take my vacation in May even if the other guy needs his knee surgery.  Looking forward to meeting faces, new and old.

Although I was willing to forego the Chicagoland Open (see PinKisser's post), I have had some family commitments come up and I won't be able to make this year's NC gathering.  It was a tough decision to make, considering what a good time it was last year.

Keep me posted on future gatherings.

P.S.  Send Harley my regrets.

Sorry guys, I’m going to have to pass on this years gathering.  One of the girls I work with is needs that day off.  Since there is only 4 of us in the department, it would really mess up everyones weekend if 2 of us  took off at the same time.
