Ball Reviews Gathering in North Carolina

I am hosting a Ball Reviews Gathering at my center in Winston Salem, North Carolina.
The date is May 28th 29th 30th.

The bowling center is:
 Creekside Lanes
1450 Trademart Blvd
Winston-Salem, NC 27127

Here is a Yahoo map link you can click on to make it easy to find the bowling center.

http://maps.yahoo.com/maps_result?name=&ed=xelZFep_0Tp3I5uVt4vmVP_gvXmvdEZLAAZBo3wJj4MTfktKKm.Edy2zo9qV7EH0jReCcT1vZL5qXU9._GxmcxUI7lOfy4pjZbBw_4ja4zMHLLUF3kK6&csz=Winston+Salem%2C+NC+27127-5646&desc=&mag=9&ds=g&state=NC&uzip=&country=us&BFClick=&BFKey=&resize=s

The airport to fly into is Piedmont Triad International Airport in Greensboro, NC. The official designation GSO for websites that want the airport code.
This is a nice small airport that is only 20 mins. From the bowling center.

A good clean but CHEAP hotel near the center is:
Extended Stay America The Winston-Salem - Hanes Mall Blvd. location

Current rate $45 per night. For a single. I think a double is $10 more per night

Rates are based on single occupancy. All rates are subject to change without notice and are based on arrival date, length of stay and room type. Taxes are not included.

Directions From Airport to the hotel:
From the airport (Piedmont Triad Int'l Airport), travel west on Airport Pkwy./Bryan Blvd. approximately 1 mile. Travel south on Hwy 68 for approximately 2 miles. Take I-40 West and travel approximately 20 miles. Take Exit 189 (Stratford Rd.). Turn right onto Stratford Rd. and travel approximately 100 yards. Turn left onto Hampton Inn Ct. Extended Stay America will be on the right.
Hotel address:
1995 Hampton Inn Ct.
Winston-Salem, NC 27103
Telephone: (336) 768-0075
Fax: (336) 768-7225
Miles From Piedmont Triad International Airport: 23

I did this about a year ago and the turn out was great with Ball Reviews posters coming from across the Country.
I know that new posters join the Ball Reviews forum every day and some of them may not know me.
I am a nationally known bowling coach and I get big bucks for making bad bowlers better and good bowlers great!
While this gathering is not a bowling camp I am offering some free coaching time to everyone that wants it. You can check out my website at www.bowl4fun.com

The gathering is about meeting the posters and having fun. We will have a handicap "bragging rights" tournament on a PBA pattern or Sport Shot.

The largest mall in the state is near by and Winston Salem is the home of Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and we will be eating while they are still HOT.

If any of you are NASCAR fans we will be about 15 miles from Richard Childress Racing  http://www.rcrracing.com/Home/home.asp

If this post needs more info or you have any questions just post them here and I will answer. Lots of people may have the same question.
Please post here if you plan to attend.

I would also like some feedback on how many of you would like to buy an event t-shirt. If I have enough interest I can have them made.

Sorry Ron, Won't be making it this time.  There is a big two day tournament in our area and we have put together a team of BR members.

komike, pchee2, pooterboof and myself.

Maybe the next one

How many of you would want to do a Ebonite Demo Days If I set one up for the gathering? Cost like $20 if I remember right.

I wouldn't necessarily vote for one, but if you have one, I'll participate.  I think last time was $15.

Any update on extras?  Mini tournament with different lane conditions, short oil plastic, scotch doubles...  I'm up for anything.

I've been to 2 Demo Days since the Hammer Challenge last year, so as for voting for it, I'd say no.  If one is done, I'll be there.  In other words, I'll go along with the majority.

Since I live about 2 hours away, I think I might try to get down there either Friday or Saturday...will let you know for sure the closer we get to the date.  Is there a "schedule of events" for this gathering?  I remember seeing something about a possible tourney on a sport condition shot?  Also, would love to pick up a couple of "tips" while I'm there!

VT Turkey,
We will have some events on some different shots. I hope you can make it you will have a good time. Do you bowl for VT by chance? I have worked with a lot of their bowlers in the past but it's been a while.

Bump (while it's still available)!

Do we have an official headcount?  I'm not sure if the wife will bowl, but we'll both be there.

Ron,

Do you have a schedule of events that will take place on this weekend?  I saw that the Demo Days are out because of lack of people. I have never been to one and was looking forward to it. I think there's 2 more people coming with me that weekend that post on the form some. Not 100% but I am hopeful. I am looking forward to bowling with different people and I really want one of those doughnuts

Bad news everyone I tweaked my knee pretty bad this past friday night, so pending a Dr. visit I would say definitely can't participate in any of the bowling activities this weekend but I am still going to try and make it up there just to hang out and meet everyone.
