How do you geta contract?
« on: February 10, 2007, 06:11:51 AM »
I see a lot of guys have a contract with like Brunswick, Storm, or Ebonite, and they get a ton of free balls when they come out. How are people chosen for this? How good do you have to be to get to that level? Do you have to win state tournaments?

Just curious

It helps a lot to be a very involved person with a pro shop.  The point of being on a ball company's staff is to sell their stuff.  Hard to do that when you have no venue for selling and drilling the customer's equipment.

Yea I actually know a few guys who dont own shops and are on staff. They are just great bowlers! I actually want to get into the pro shop business though. I just like the atmosphere and talking bowling with people. I'll work in one for free for the experience!
