Well somehow I got myself into the habit of not following through when I shot my left side spares. Anyone have any tricks that will help me get back into the habit?

This has cost the cut in two tourneys now it is starting to p@#$ me off

I "reach" for my mark when shooting spares...helps me follow through.

Nope, It sounds like trying to be too much in control.

When you're cutting off the follow-through, you're cutting off the directionality "allowed"/caused by a full follow-through. It's up to you to make sure your arm continues on its path to your target. Relax the shoulder muscles to allow the arm and hand to "FLOW" to the target, making, No!, allowing the ball to go in that direction. Again, it's one of those basics: you're trying to use your shoulders to force something that should not, cannot be forced.

You've got to relax and alow it to happen in practice. STart with shooting 7 pins and 10 pins off the rack, instead of strike balls. Keep your own score.
Let the weight of the ball do the work. Just let your arm follow along towards the target. For the first few, go "against the grain" and Force your arm & hand to follow through. Reach for the space above your shoulder. Then after 5 or 6 of these, start trying to remove the shoulder, back, bicep, & tricep muscles from the "equation".

If someone has a free arm swing the follow through just happens. You're not alone, though.

I've seen guys who "force" the follow through, which makes no sense either. Just relax and let the ball swing and yours will be okay in no time.
