Ball warranties
« on: February 23, 2011, 05:44:51 AM »

I'm pretty sure it is on the box of all manufacturers, and I'm pretty sure they all say that installation of finger inserts or thumb slugs will void the warranty.

Why then do companies like Vise and Turbo still exist?  Their products purposely void your warranty.

Not always true. I have had several balls replaced in the last few years that have cracked. I believe it is how your pro shop wants to take care of the customers. They were Motiv and Brunswick.

They exist because they have products that people like, want, and use.

The ball manufacturers do not want to be liable for some other companies perhaps faulty merchandise. Nor do they wish to be held liable for damage to the coverstock through the application of substances that can chemically alter the coverstock composition (like super glue), nor should they be.

I have had several balls crack over the past few years. With only one exception, as long as they were still in the initial warranty period, they were covered, and they ALL had grips and sleeves in them.
