oil patterns

What is the shortest oil pattern you've ever bowled on? Me personally was the cheetah, but im sure there is much shorter that has been put out on the lanes. Anyone bowl on shorter than 35 feet? Also, how did you play the lanes?

Messing around after one of my leagues the lane man put down a pattern that was 30ft long and flat. I used my absolute inferno with a broken wrist throwing it hard up 5. My plastic would move a ton on this also.

26 foot flat in the summer, in a "sport" shot league...
Maxim 15 to 5 = Rip the rack

YOU WOULDN'T WANT TO BOWL ON A 26 FOOT PATTERN WITH TODAY'S BALLS ON STEROIDS.

shortest I've ever bowled on was probably 25ft..   back in 92/93  using my old urethane purple hammer and the ball was hooking so much it was sick.... and this was before i knew speed control and how to actually hook the ball consistently..

Besides that, the old bowling alley i usta bowl at would do a HUGE 9pin tourny 1500$ first place prize and it was handicapped..  Enter as many times as you like.   The catch!! it was on a sport shot.  first yr was a complete reverse block,  a light amount of oil in the middle and going down board 10, caused your ball to hit the 6pin.   hitting 11, and you might stay in the pocket...50ft oil pattern.

Next yr, 30ft flat oil pattern....  talk about seeing a reactive take a left turn into the gutter...   bad part of both years, I had issues breaking 400!!!!!   Finally i just grabbed a old ball polished it up and launched it at the 1-3 pocket and still only shot 650 lol.

24'

Last year.

Practically impossible.

I was at a tournament and asked the staff what the length was. I didn't believe them. So I asked someone who was a bowler from that house. They said the same thing. I didn't believe them. I watched the lane machine go less than 10' past the arrows. I still didn't believe it.

Trust me...it was not one inch longer than 24', and I have 3 barely over 500 series' in that house to prove it.
