thinking on purchasing a ball spinner. has anyone had any issues with theirs after purchasing, and is it a good investment?

I purchased a 2 speed Donkee spinner 20+ years ago for home use, and it was at the time same price as a high end ball, I would say it has paid for it self since a pro shop will charge between 10 and 20 to do what I can do for about a doll or or two.

If you bowl alot I absolutely believe it will be a worth while investment. Cover adjustments are a big part of getting proper ball reaction, as long as you correctly adjust it.

Its well worth the investment! When I first bought mine I thought is it worth it? After using in a few times just to clean and polish some balls, I was sold. You can tell the difference. Plus like others said fine tuning your surface, and its a lot of fun experimenting with it. As I continue to bowl, I can say I will always have a spinner at home. Money well spent.

Yes, they are certainly worth it. For the price of a top shelf ball you will be able to finely tune your equipment to your liking. It will take some trial and error, but once you figure out what works for you the spinner will become your best asset.

This is my next investment, can't believe I've gone this long without one. It's a good investment, and you can track your cover changes.

Ball spinners are great for rolling up Christmas lights and extension cords. Just kidding...but I did think about it....(I used a power drill and 2x2 instead)
I've owned mine since 2006 and it helped me save money. For a while I didn't buy any NIB's. I used the Jazz, track slash, fired up, and a V2 solid for all my leagues and the tourney's. great investments that's for sure.

I've been the owner of the Donkee 2-speed spinnner since 2002. No issues with it except replacing the belt once.

I had a Donkee 2 speed, didn't like it, sold it and bought a used Vertex 1/2HP for $100. Zero issues in the 4 years I've had it.

I purchased a Donkee 3/4 HP with two speeds about 20 years ago and it was a good investment. Some owners have complained that the Donkee vibrates more the vortex
but I never had that problem. The 3/4 horse and two speed is the best Choice with either brand. Most people don't use the high speed that much today because you can
shine the ball up enough with the low speed and avoid too much heat. If you have the two speed, it is there if you want to use it.

I have the vortex 1/3 hp and I may be looking to sell since I only bowl one league and fewer tournaments. But, I'm not sure yet if I will..... PM on monday..... I have someone already asking for it....I'll decided over the weekend if I'll sell it.

ImBackInTheGame, Good looking out for me. You are right 3/4 HP is what I have on the Donkee. It has been a while and I was thinking get the larger horsepower. I went back and corrected my post

Yes, the higher speed is fast and very effective, especially for burning in polish. Of course you can get by with one speed, but why compromise if you have a choice?
