Ball Spinner?
« on: February 17, 2008, 03:42:30 AM »
I am just wondering if anyone has used this ball spinner.

Someone posted this web site the other day for supplies and I notice this spinner.   I am wanting to purchase a spinner and am looking at the Vertex 1/2hp at Buddies, but wanted to ask about this one.

Also what do you suggest for supplies?

Thank-you
Lon

I just recently received my spinner that was purchased thru Buddies Pro Shop on 2/13/08. Since then I have resurfaced two balls and later today I going to resurface my Black Widow.Very powerful spinner IMO it works just as well as a pro shop spinner.

lrtrees..

The picture looks like a Donkee 3/4 horsepower spinner and the SK# looks like that is what it is. I have the 3/4 horsepower Donkee model and it has paid for itself many times. It has went up in price from the time I bought mine, but so has everything else. Donkee has a web page and you can buy direct from them.
If you chose the Donkee model be sure and get the 3/4 horsepower and the splash guard. Some people like the Vertex brand but they used to be a bit higher in price, if you get the 3/4 horsepower version. As to the supplies, I assume you are asking about Abralon pads and polishes. I shop around see who ships free and the prices for the most part are about the same at Buddie's and others. The pads are cheaper if you can find someone selling them 20 in a box.

Yep it looks like the Donkee.  We have one in the shop and it works fine. The only bad thing is that it will shake the living daylights out of whatever you have it mounted on.  Ours is anchored to the floor on a heavy wood rack.  It also has a lot of torque.  You need to be very careful with it.  If you get your hand caught in it you can easily break a finger.
