Knowing the score???

This question is for all...

When you bowl do you prefer to pay attention to the scorekeep;  whether to see your possible max for the game/series.

Or....Do you prefer not to know and just let the pins fall as they may???

I personally like to keep my eyes off the scorekeep.  I seem to bowl better scores when I keep my mind off the score.  When I start adding possible scores in my head it just seems to totally kill my game.  So by not knowing the score I can put all of my focus into the more important things at hand, "the shot".

So anyone else agree/disagree?

I always try not to look at my score, just our overall score for the team. That keeps me focused, and doesn't stress me too much on my game.

Depends on how I am doing. If I am on a roll I don't look. If I am struggling I will look to see if I can break 200 or come close. I almost always look at team scores to see what the score is and what I have to do.

If I don't look at the score, I waste brain cycles thinking about it.
But - when I step up on the approach, the only thing that matters is the shot at hand.
I do my darndest to clear my mind of everything, and just execute. Most times it works, sometimes it doesn't.

I look at the bottom scoring for the team to see what I may need in a 10th frame to make sure that we win, but generally I'm not looking at my own scoring. I try to take things one frame at a time...
