If you are cheap, like me, go to Target, K Mart, Wal Mart garden center. Ask for the displays that flower bulbs come in on. They are 3 or 4 shelf racks. They throw them out after the bulbs sell. Disassemble one to add boards on the shelf to make a toy/book rack for the kids (grandkids in my case) or take one board out of each shelf to make a good ball rack.
I have 6 total, 3 ball racks, one for the spinner, one storage for rags etc last for books. I also have 5 for the grandkids toys/books. One thing, they are not totally smooth, so sanding/painting is a good idea. They stand 5 ft tall, I cut them down to 3 shelves, used eatra boards on book racks, painted/stained them and they work great...
toys/books in one area..$0
balls out for display...$0
even the wife allowed one in the livingroom...priceless!
I had the paint/stain, so total cost to me, gas to go to the store to pick them up....just a suggestion. BTW, the stores throw them out when they are done so most ( all here) will let you have them if you go pick them up when they sell out of the bulbs. The distributors send them with the bulbs on them so it's not a store rack thing. Worth checking out.
Three shelf unit holds 10 balls per shelf (put a brace in the middle of each shelf) and I made 3 shelves per rack.
.sorry, can't type early mornings...need more coffee........
