Title: Ball suggestion -- fit between Hooligan Taunt and Tropical Breeze
Post by: LyalC52 on October 20, 2015, 04:00:25 PM
My HS daughter has been bowing for about 7 month now.
Lately her average has been in the 130s
She started with a Tropical Breeze and we added the Taunt about 3 months ago.

The Taunt has been great, but sometimes its too much ball, especially late in the series. When she balls down to the Breeze its usually not enough.

I'm thinking on a scale of 1 to 10, 1 being the Breeze, 10 being the Taunt, something around 6 to 7
I'm looking for suggestions for her next ball.
She is a low speed, low to mid rev bowler.
Both her balls are drill pin over ring.

Not brand loyal at all.

Honestly if she's only averaging in the 130s she needs more practice not another ball if she wants to become more serious.

I'd look towards the orignal Hooligan, Strike King, Joy Ride, or Loco

The Radical Rack Attack solid would be a good choice to fit below the Hooligan Taunt.

Any company's low end piece. Like the rack attack, the ride, loco, etc.

Honestly, I would spend money on a good coach that can help her with form and technique.  That will do more then adding another ball.  When her average and accuracy improves then you see where a new ball would best fit.

she is getting coaching and making steady progress
the past few weeks she's thrown games in the 170s and 180s

consistency is still an issue. I'm thinking being able to ball down rather than fighting an over hooking ball will help
