The house I frequent growing up, the place where I took up the game as a youth, where bumper cars and paceman games had lines, and the smell of smoke (back in the 80's)..... Uses different world patterns for their leagues and tourneys.
Where shooting a 300 actually means something when one lane is 35' and the other 45'. Someone I know just shot a 300 few days ago on these patterns in his pair. Scores 185-200 gets respect from others. I shoot 189,194, and 202 and was told those score are legit by some of the national team members. Averages 190-205 are also in the upper status.
It's funny, when the shot is unknown to these league bowlers and these guys are struggling, I've seen guys laughing at each other because their ball don't curl or missed the pocket. IF that happened at the house I bowl at, bowlers will kick and scream. And prolly leave the building and /or leagues. AMF managers would get the third degree from these whiners. Many houses would be empty.
