Ball to Replace IQ Tour Pearl
« on: April 02, 2014, 09:41:03 PM »
IQ Tour Pearl has been the best ball I've owned in my life, but after 250+ games on it, its finally starting to crap out. Looking to replace it with something very similar, what would be a ball that reacts very similar to the IQ Tour Pearl?

Preferably would like Storm/Roto Grip, but open to all companies (except Brunswick)
Better Lucky than good.

I would think that the above reply should answer your question:
"Looking to replace it with something very similar, what would be a ball that reacts very similar to the IQ Tour Pearl?"
very nicely.

If you must have something different, try the Fusion.

There is nothing similar - Fusion has it's own motion. By another one, there is no other ball that acts the same, IMHO !

You answered your own question in your post. "IQ Tour Pearl has been the best ball I've owned in my life."

agree 100%    I had my gold ball stolen from a tournament recently and bought a fusion.  I was hoping for a similar motion to the gold ball but i was surprised how much more the fusion hooks. Ordered another gold ball because it simply is the best ball i have ever thrown. Fusion will be a great step up from my gold ball.

ryguy, did you have a gold IQ Tour Pearl stolen from a tournament??? Were you on the last pair and were moving your stuff and when you came back it was gone??? Did you love the ball???

Just messing with you.  Every post about the IQ or something along that lines you mention it.

In response to the OP, just get another one.  I've loved the Anarchy reaction since the day I first threw one.  I'm on my 3rd now and still have 2 NIB in the basement for the future.  When you find something you like or works, don't change it!

Similar does not mean identical.
Ball reaction depends on bowlers, drilling, oil pattern/amount.

"Nothing similar"? Really?
Identical core, identical coverstock base, identical surface preparation, half solid/half pearl being THE only difference.
Really?

As far as the numbers, there are a few things that are comparative, but as far as ball reaction, the only thing I can think of would be the Motiv Tribal (yes I know the numbers are pretty different).  There's nothing else out there that goes that long, is that consistent and controllable and gives you that much punch on the back.  The gold ball is actually a unique piece in an oversaturated market.
What would you be if you were attached to another object by an inclined plane, wrapped helically around an axis?
