Ball Weight
« on: May 13, 2005, 05:28:52 AM »
I have a question regarding ball weights and weightblocks.  I am coming back from carpal tunnel surgery and I am slowly getting back to my form.  I am currently using 14 Ib equipment, but would like to drop lower till I get back to my normal game.  I was thinking 13, but I don't want to get equipment where the weightblocks aren't worth getting.  I guess I mean don't they still change the wqeighblocks once the ball goes below 14 Ibs.  any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Jay

I too usually use 14 lb, I too, due to injury, have to switch to 13 lb to allow my injury to heal.

Well my 13 lb Zone Classic....... errrrr....... for lack of better expression, *hits like a truck*!

It hits as hard as a 15 lb, and it has a dynamic core. In fact, it's become one of my favorite balls, along with 14lb Original Inferno and Track 14lb EMB XF.

In that weight, Storm use dynamic core, the Ebonite V2 line too, based on what I've been told. Track High Performance line does not have the Morpheus core in 13, I believe it uses Core II. Not sure about other companies.

Good luck!

I've been informed by Storm that they use dynamic cores in their 13# equipment in their Master Line only.

If I'm not mistaken, Morich, Lane #1 and Dynothane also use dynamic cores at 13#.
