Title: BallReviews is being bought by... NOBODY!

Just a quick clarification for those who caught the "BallReviews-OWNER" post earlier. BR is not being bought by anyone. We have asked for input because we are doing a complete site revamp, that's it. BTW, good catch everyone who noticed the "other" BR-Tech didn't have the same userID as me and thanks for helping to expose the fraud to everyone else. My guess is someone has something against us (more than likely because they were banned at some point) and rather than take it up with us directly they choose this method. Oh well.

Good to know.  I, as many others, thought it was some one either trying to be funny or trying to stir something up.

In order to make things easier in the future, we have added user groups under usernames in the threads and have highlighted any mod's name in blue. If a person's name isn't in bold, blue text with the line "Group: Admin" underneath their name, they don't speak on behalf of Ballreviews.com. Hopefully this will help with any confusion.

Wouldnt some sort of icon be more pleasant to the eye? Now the user name area looks very busy. There is a lot of room to do more creative things. You could change colors in that box or you could make the "admin" names a larger scale or even add a ball reviews logo under the "admin" name. Just a thought.

I don't think the "Group" part is necessary, but the bold blue text is an excellent idea for the admin's.

Take the group thing away. It's useless.

Not actually my idea. Most forum software can use this type of user group or can use the whole "newbie", etc...

I have considered it. I'm not really ecstatic about the user group thing by itself but I wanted something quick and simple last night (so I could go to sleep, I'll be honest). I will probably take another look at it on Monday.

I like the idea of having "newbie" and other labels to indicate the amount of time someone has used the site.  People who have been long-time members of BR.com deserve to have their experience recognized.

Thanks a lot! Very nice new features - especially the simple "trick" to highlight the "real" admin. Looks as if our "ship" is moving in a good direction? Keep it up
