How Does this sound for a fall arsenal
« on: August 07, 2007, 05:19:33 AM »
i just finished getting rid of some equipment and im wanting to drill some more stuff b4 next season starts. I will be bowling in a saturday morning league, and high school league ( 2 diff houses), Many JBT's and sport shot tourny's. Here is what i am thinking

Secret Agent( 2000 abralon)
NVS ( Not sure yet on surface prep did not drill yet)
Black Widow ( 4000 abralon)
Black Widow Pearl ( did not drill yet)
Fired Up ( 1500 polished)
Cherry Vibe ( OOB )
Slate Blue Gargoyle ( OOB for the good old burnt houses that i face quite often)
Clear Diamond for Spares

Depending on how i like the NVS i will either use the Secret Agent or NVS for oil. I will take one down in grit and leave the other OOB or polished. Im lookin for some advice i will take any advice.

Looks well-covered to me, but especially on the dryer conditions you'll use the Gargoyle on, won't you find the Clean ball to hook on you?  Have to had trouble with the ball hooking and have to thought about a polyester spare?

Seems to me that you have all conditions covered. How about myself:

Secret Agent (4000 abralon but can take it down to 2000)
Paradigm (Beans sauce)
Black Widow (4000 abralon)
T-Road Pearl (1500 polished)
Spit Fire (1500 polished)
Tropical Storm (2000 polished)
White Dot

Also have a ONE with beans sauce.

clear diamond is plastic for spares spinner.
strikestriketapped seems ur set 2 might want something for a smoother transistion from black widow to the t road pearl but i dunno how u have it drilled.

May not hurt to have a particle pearl in your arsenal for the drier conditions you face, especially when the Vibe and Fired Up start jumping.

Venus may not ba a bad choice and the price is right on them.

Just my 2 cents.

I (unfortunately) have not gotten the chance to throw a Secret Agent or NVS yet.  However, my thought would be to use the NVS on fresh, but when the backends start to get tight and the heads start to get a little dry, switch to the Secret and if necessary play it in the oil a little more.  Make sense?

Not sure, but IMHO the BWP an TNV are pretty close, condition-wise. Since they are not drilled yet and if you want to use both, I'd make sure they have different reactions to be complementary, e. g. one with length (skid/flip) for clean lanes and the other more arcing and early rolling, for control and carrydown situations. From subjective point of view, I'd give the BWP a length layout and the TNV the more rolly one. This would also leave room to sand the rolly ball a bit or the BW solid for oilier conditions, and have the Secret Agent at hand with more surface to cover DEEP oil.

dizzy i would be interested in getting the NVS not the Total NV and what I hear is that the NVS will be more mid lane and stronger then the black widow pearl
