Balls You Would like to See Made That Arent
« on: February 01, 2010, 11:54:42 PM »
And I''''m not talking about remaking discontinued balls. I''''m talking about taking a manufactures current cores and cover and making a new ball that they havn''''t or wont.

Personally, I''''d love to see a company put out a ball using a high diff (.50+) low Rg (2.499 or lower) core and a really weak pearl coverstock.

Something like taking 900G''''s OG bounty core and wrapping it in S30 Coverstock

Or Roto Grip using the Cell core and using Sure Grip Pearl

Or Storm''''s Dimension core and digging out the old Accutread cover

Im sure any of the Ebo brands could do the same but they change coverstock name every release so its hard to keep up with them.

So what would you like to see slapped together from the leftover parts bins?

jbuzz,

I do agree that there seem to be some potentially very good core/coverstock match-ups that many manufacturers have passed by or decided not to market.

On the other hand ---
This is quite an ironic post, given the reaction that many bowlers here had when we learned that the initial set of balls marketed by Elite were actually different combinations of Brunswick cores and Brunswick coverstocks that Brunswick never marketed.

The inital fuss was due to the very high price, but afterwards, when many came down in price or were discounted, the biggest fuss was the claim that these were "recycled" balls. Of course they weren't truly "recycled" since most or all of the ball designs (core + cover) were never marketed by Brunswick.

So, if some manufacturer were to see the replies here and matchup a core and cover that they had not done before, why wouldn't the same people who whined about Elite, whine about this new ball? Many would, you know.

R2S solid on the RAD+ block. Got four overseas releases that have this block but none have the solid cover.

Talked to Storm tech about this as well as a regional rep and they said they have no plans to offer such a monster.

Too bad.

They did make the Complete Domination using the RAD+ and R2X.  I don't know if that would be close enough for you or not.

Yeah I got one with R2X pearl (Xtacy Tour) and one with R2X solid plus mica(Super) but I feel as though the R2S solid was the best cover they have ever put out so......still hoping.

Good Point.  But certain people will whine about anything. Just like several guys on here whined that the Reign was too similar to the T Road Pearl. But to each his own.

I would like to have a ball with the Lane #1 Bullet Coverstock, and the Executioner core, and for a more agressive version , one with the DC core on my Midnight Scorcher.

I second the R2S solid cover around the Rad + core, that would be a monster for sure!! It would be pretty cool if storm took the PBT core found in the eraser and put the curelyon solid or pearl cover around it, that would be a house shot killer, plus you wouldn't have to move a ton of boards either.

I think an old school lane 1 core with a old school lane masters cover would be the end all be all

I'd really like to see the R3X cover on a low flaring medium RG Core, i'm always finding myself using mild layouts to cut the flare out of the strong stuff because I don't need it.

ok so lets see
if some of these have been done i must of missed it somewhere and sorry

lets go real old school here,
how about the old piranha/c (original)with say either or both of the bedlam's covers

or roto's
Odyssey core with mutant cover, or Odyssey's cover with say silver streak core
or here you go sd73 original cover with rsp core

or if Brunswick fan
Danger zone core with pearlized EnMotionâ„¢coverstock
or
Coverstock: PowerKoil 17 Reactive with smokin inferno core

For Storm
PRO-Thane Pearl Particle cover with Weight Block: “EMC” Enhanced Motion Control
R2Sâ„¢ Solid Reactive with Four-piece multi-density core with FE2 technologycore

Ebonite
Coverstock: GB 10.7 sanded with 4000-grit Abralon with Core: Stinger low flare ellipse

ok i think thats enough for now, sure could find more

What do you expect to see here?????
