Custom shoe question
« on: September 12, 2009, 12:37:01 PM »
I was looking at the Linds semi-customs.  I have placed a link here for reference to my question.

What is the difference between the "black slide sole" (3rd shoe down / 9th shoe down 15th shoe down)...the brown slide sole (31st shoe from top) and the normal buckskin sole.

Which one slides the most, which one the least ??

Its been a while since I had a new pair of shoes, and I'm out of the loop on this info.  The last pair of shoes I bought were "universal" and both shoes could be used as slide shoes.

Thanks for the help.

Just a guess but the black which might be grey is probably felt and the most slide.

good luck with linds customer service. i loved the linds exxxtras i bought but their customer service has forced to not recommend them to anyone. get a pair of 3G tour ultras.

I have to agree with greg, just get shoes with slide soles that can be changed. I have been using tour ultras since they had dyno thane balls. They hold up well and they were comfortable the first time I put them on.

Don't like the idea of fooling with different heels, soles, pucks, etc.

The last pair of shoes I purchased were Dexters (black in color) in 1986

Many of the shoes today look like sneakers and that is just not me.  The Classic Linds would probably suffice, but before I buy the shoes...I saw the semi-custom ones and they had different bottoms.

Sent and e-mail to Linds customer service to straighten me out.  Just want to know what the different slide sole colors do, and if they are even useful.

I only bowl 1 league a week, not looking for multiple combos...just something that gets me through the stickier conditions (generally what I see in my area.)

Buy any good shoe sold in left and right handed models (not with two slick soles) and put a Bowler's Slide Sock on the slide shoe.  --  JohnP
