Been away a while.
« on: January 31, 2011, 09:07:20 PM »
Hi to all, been away a while but just started rolling the orb again after 2+ years.

Firstly have to say a sad farewell to a couple of the stallwarts from when I was a regular member. That is sawbones and Thongprincess. I was informed by SrKegler of the sad loss of both of them.

Now onto my question. I have quite major back problems and I still love my bowling so I started again. I know what a fool. But if I can have one more season with my friends I'm taking it.

I have dropped a couple of weights which has helped with the the problem, however I have a bigger problem in that I have quite a pronounced limp. Left leg just doesn't want to work properly.

Anyone have any ideas of how to get around it as its throwing my timing off completly. I use a 4 step approach but seem to arrive so far ahead of the ball because of taking such small step with my left leg, most are pulled. Struggle to bowl more than once a week but I'm really not bothered with scores, just love the oppotunity to have a bowl again. Still I'd like to hit my target more than four or five times a game.

Anyone have a simillar problem and how did you get around it?

Thanks in advance, star.
