Title: Beijing vs. Cheetah
Post by: Walking E on July 11, 2012, 03:44:43 AM
Has anybody played both of these patterns? If so, can you tell me if they play much differently? The oil length is the same, but I can't determine from the graphs if there is any difference in volume in those first 35 feet. To be honest, I am not good at reading the graphs anyway - many of them look the same to me, apart from very slight variations.
In any case, I had some success playing straight up 4 board on Cheetah a couple of weeks ago. I had a little bit of miss room to the left. Since the twig is absolutely OOB at my house no matter what the condition, I played it as if the 2-board was the gutter. I used a Nuts Pearl that normally reacts very weak for me downlane, but which seemed to be perfect for the Cheetah at my house. I planned to bring the same ball again, but wanted to bring some alternate choices based on feedback I receive.

I played them basically the same.  Same ball, same release.  May have had to move a touch, but nothing extreme.
