So...I know all this technical info and such.....but....What the heck is the point of those see-saws things?  I don't see the advantage of it over a microfiber towel, in fact it looks like it's less efficient.  But i've never understood the purpose of them.  Joe bowlers love them though for some reason, i haven't figured that out yet (not a bash, an observation).  My one friend uses it.  I've seen him use it even before bowling, which baffles me.  I've asked him (in a non-derogatory fashion, just curious), how come he even uses it, and he doesn't really know.  So I don't know either.

Way back when dinosaurs roamed the earth and these things were first made, they were made for cleaning the dirt and oil off polyester balls. Rubber balls didn't give it up as easily - so it didn't get on your clothes (AS MUCH) as the crud from plastic did.
So enterprising manufacturers came out with the seesaw ball polishers.

Now, with newer stuff, they are pretty well useless. Now, if someone made 'em out of microfiber material, and sold cleaner to go with it, they could probably make a bundle. Hmmm.....

I use them to protect my ball when it's in the bag. They do help clean a little but mainly i use towels. I only have them because my local proshop gives one away with every ball purchased as it has there logo and phone number on the sling.
