Belmo Ball
« on: July 19, 2019, 03:23:01 PM »
After watching the PBA Team event last night I'm thinking if you buy Storm's latest Belmo ball Pro? Motion, you may want to invest in a good spare ball. NOT A GOOD SHOWING

Looked like Allen finished with Golden Jackal.  He finally carried one, but left at least 6 corners with 3 different balls.

With all the ball choices currently available, I never thought that any of the three Belmo balls from a guy who throws two handed from the far left at over 600+ revs would be the best ball choice for my game. Your mileage may vary.

The problem is going by anything that a guy with Belmo's rev shows.  Over time I have seen him throw Hyroads, Phase 2,  and other balls that had broad appeal.  Likewise the Timeless was junk for most people, but You dont see Belmo throwing it anymore either.  My guess is that the pro motion will be a popular ball because it appears you can hook the lane with it, and that is what a lot of guys want.  Stu made it look  pretty good for most of the finals.

Personally I go by what looks good in the hands of WRW or Duke.   They are both in the low 300 rev rates.

I don't get how people don't see this ball as an IQ Tour for modern conditions. I think too many people are blinded by the previous two. But yet again, all I have to say is Phaze 2...

...I really hate when people make this statement.  Even though it is from the modern era, and still in production, people still say this frequently.  The IQ is the modern day IQ.

First and foremost anyone throwing a pro motion on a house shot is more than likely foolish. Maybe will work for some people but for the majority it won’t.  It is a stronger version of the iq tour which will be obsolete before too long. and will be a very good flatter pattern ball.

This ball reminds me of my Hyroad X when I put 2000 on it.

Maybe where you bowl, it is! It's still going strong on the east Coast! I know countless people who own an IQ, an IQ Tour or that golden IQ!!

These are niche balls that always come in handy at tournaments! They will never go out of style!

Obviously the IQ Tour is still used in a lot of places on a variety of conditions. My point is that it doesn't handle oil the same way and most environments are using tthicker and more volumes than when the ball was introduced. The Pro Motion offers a similar shape with the ability to handle the conditions scene nowadays.
