looking for a good proshop in south Chicagoland
« on: September 12, 2008, 12:22:43 AM »
I live in Orland Park, I spend a lot of time in the Joliet-area where my girlfriend lives, and I'm looking for a good shop in the area. I'd like to put up some used equipment for sale, get a couple new things, and check my measurements because I haven't been happy with my fit for a while. I'd prefer not to deal with shops that refuse to give you your own measurements.

Thanks for any help you can provide.

Try Chris Regas at Town and Country in Joliet.  It's been a few years since I lived up there but at the time he did very good work.  There's another good shop at the Brunswick Zone in Woodridge.  Think the guy's name is Paul Colombani.

Why don't we ever hear about jls's drilling prowess?  I always wondered that.  Inquiring minds

Duke,  unlike most converted broom closets that open up at 5 and close at 8,  we actually open by 10 and close at 7.

This gives us more time to play.

Oh and BTW, just about everyone on BR,  are on BR while they are at work.

How do they get anything done?

just in case you wanted to know

ok

I thought they were all retired (like me), or wealthy playboys/girls.

Glad to see you're a full-time pro shop....

jls drilled my Gravity, Dimension & plugged & redrilled a Shift I bought from pnj1967.  No problems w/them at all.  Fit is great & he listened to what I had to say.  Some drillers don't listen to their customers & that's why some are slower than others.

Been dealing with jls for years.  Who is this Scott guy?  And by the way Scott.
Maybe the reason you never heard of his drilling,  is because jls is not the name of the shop,  so therefore most of his customers probably don't know him as jls.
