Best Ball of 2003
« on: December 23, 2003, 08:36:15 AM »
I was just wondering what everyone thinks is the best ball for 2003.  Strong contenders are the:

 Inferno
 Black Cherry Bomb
 Cherry Bomb
 Triple Threat
 Hammer Particle Vicious

What else should be on this list??

My vote goes for the Inferno.

But I think you forgot a strong contender in the golden nugget. Everyone seems to be raving about it.

Track Mutant has to go on the list. it was just forgotten about by everyone because of all of tracks other oilers that came out right after it.

and my favorite is the Columbia Wild.  nobody thinks of it as a great ball but for a 3 piece 69 dollar ball.  that is one hell of a bargain.  ive rolled 280,279,278,277 and an 800 with mine and its still rollin strong.

Has to go to the X-Factor.  It didn't leave 10 pins like crazy like all the Infernos.  Btw, does anybody like the Blazing?  I haven't heard anything good about it at all, and one of my buddies got one a couple weeks ago and says it's the biggest piece of trash he's ever thrown.  I think the X-Factor was actually last year though, cause I got it before I started working in the shop, and that's been OVER a year ago.  So I suppose I'll have to vote for Fear Factor.  That Monsoon coverstock is really something else.  I can't put down my Super Charge, although I should sometimes, lol.

I think easily the Monster SmashR is the best ball around for it's price/performance.

That being said, the award will most likely go to the X-Factor or Inferno. I didn't like either one that much, both seemed to burn up too much for my game, but I can't argue with the fact that it seems like everyone had either one or the other.

The underdog could be the Columbia 300 Flipside WoW, was another ball that seemed to be everywhere, and was decently priced.

I think the choice in overall popularity is probably the Inferno, or possibly the Lane 1 Cherry Bomb.

Not picking ONE------but coming up with a list (of stuff I have used), here goes my top 5 in no particular order

Storm Fear Factor
Track Mutant
Track Phenom
Track Thrash
Dynothane THING

INFERNO.   Hey i don't even own an inferno  It's something with that cover. If layout correct this ball is the bomb. I can't wait to drill my self one. This ball put Brunswick back on the map.
