Best bang for your buck in ball companies...
« on: March 01, 2005, 04:05:26 AM »
If this has already been asked, my apologies. What I'd like to know is, over all, pound-for-pound who has the best prices online or local pro shop among the major ball companies? If you feel this includes the smaller ones as well, then that's fine too. Thanks.

Best prices I've seen is at Buddiesproshop.com. However, bowlingball.com is right there within a dollar or two with shipping. My experience with Buddies has been first rate. Great customer service and fast delivery.

Ball wise, I think Ebonite V2's and Hammer Blades are the best bang for the buck; perhaps the AMF Titan. One step up is Hammer Diesel line. From there, the Infernos are great.

Ok, my bad for not being clear. I am asking from a ball company perspective (not online or local pro shops..) who has some of the better equipment out there for less money. I know everyone has the mid-priced ball line up, but from what you have seen, who has the better prices ball comapany wise? Does this help explain my question
a little better?

Now it's a matter of personal choice although I'd probably say Brunswick with the Inferno line overall. I throw and like Hammer, but the Infernos are great indeed.

Well, I wouldn't say the Inferno line because it's a premium priced line. The BVP series seems to be really good for the price. The V2 series is great for the money - every kind of ball reaction you could want with a proven core, although some of them are now discontinued. They may not match up to your style though.

The DynoThane Vendetta line covers all the bases,..with a new particle due out in a few days,..and the Black Vendetta is one of the best balls on the market.

Nobody said Columbia huh? Thanks for the help guys it means a lot. I feel I can throw anything, but I'm trying to figure out what'd best compliment my LT-48 gold if I didn't go with Big-B. Thanks again.

The power groove is the most underrated ball ever.  The monster line is my favorite line, and the best bang for the buck.  Easy to make a full arsenal with them and the new BVP's.

You can't beat Ebonite and Hammer's mid-price offerings.  Even though the price of the V2 series has gone up due to it's popularity, the Blades, Showtimes, Big Time, Game Time, Primetime Series, Element Series, Tornado Series can't be beat in terms of covering the spectrum of all conditions and adapting to all styles.

Visionary has one of the best line ups for the buck there is. the gargoyle line covers just about everything. the BVP line is probably a good choice also.
