you can also take a look at the forza gt.  I was told by a staffer who is a good friend this is the bench mark ball for motiv.  mine is drilled pin up between fingers with a low hole which gives it a very smooth controlled motion down lane with great hit.  just my 2 cents.

We've seen them all, Chronic Paranoia, Rocket Ship, and Forza GT.

Chronic Paranoia is a benchmark type roll.  It covers less boards than the original Paranoia with a controlled roll.  We just wanted to see more drive through the pins.  Probably needs some surface adjustment or different layouts to get it to roll a little earlier.  Forza GT is also a benchmark type.  It's been hit or miss for some but I've seen folks with a great look with the GT.  It is definitely heavier and earlier rolling than the Chronic. 
The Rocket Ship looks like a different animal.  I personally tested the Chronic and Rocket Ship.  The Rocket Ship is what I was hoping to be a benchmark for my bag.  It is so strong down lane with very strong drive through the pins.  Frankly was surprised how many boards this ball covered while still being very strong down lane.  If you are a Tweener with some side rotation like me, the Chronic and Rocket Ship are nowhere near each other.

How would you compare the Rocket Ship to the Hy-Road (Hybrid)?

Brand new, I would say Hy-Road is a little longer and has a boomy rounded shape downlane.  Rocket Ship has about the same length and still has a strong move down lane, but more defined to some extent.  Rocket Ship will handle a bit more oil. Rocket Ship has a quicker hook/roll phase transition in general due to core which is why I think it works better in the solid coverstock than the hybrid.  So the shapes are different.  The HyRoad core makes a smoother transition through the phases.
Over time, the Hy-Road calmed down for me making it a touch less reactive to dry boards with a smoother motion.  That's in my mind when it's at it's best.  I haven't had the Rocket Ship long enough to say specifically, but having had many balls with the R2S solid coverstock as well, it will calm down and get a touch smoother as well off the dry boards.  Hoping that over time, the Rocket Ship looks like the Furious did...besides that it is actually the same coverstock with same colors. :-)
