Best bowling feats one month into fall season...
« on: September 19, 2004, 08:13:47 PM »
What have been some of the best bowling moments you've seen through league/tournament play as we are about one month into the 2004-2005 season? These can be things that have happened to you personally or things that you've observed during other people's games.

Both of mine would be things that I observed and haven't happened to me as of yet. One would be in my Tuesday league house I saw a gentleman leave and make the 5-7-10 split. I think that can be just as much of a challenge as a 7-10, because it was the first and only time I've seen it made. The second feat would be on my Monday night league the first week of bowling. While I was throwing my first game and bowling quite well, another bowler on the pair to my right started with a solid 10 pin, than proceeded to reel off 17 strikes in a row. Last 11 in game one, front 6 in game two. And I don't think one of the 17 had a pin left on the deck.

Well my feats where fast and throwing my timing off. Slowed them down and now all is good.  LOL

Seriously.. I have seen 1 300. And I picked up a lilly. Didn't even see it. Thought I missed and turned to take that LONG walk back and my team was yelling...

Ever notice how long the walk back is after you miss a shot?

in a junior scratch tournament i seen a kid on my pair of lanes pick up the 7-10 and shoot a 139 that game. then came back with a 279 then a 154. gotta love how bowling goes sometimes. by the way the cut at the tournament for 6 games of qualifying was +224 for 6 games. o and that was on some f.i.q. shot supposedly. if bowling keeps in this direction there is a bright future ahead!

I have been on fire the first 3 weeks or so of bowling this year.  I have shot 2 299's (although 1 was in practice), 1 296, shot a 692 and had 17 strikes in a row between the 2nd and 3rd game (was with my 296), shot a 723 the first week of my friday league and held it the 2nd week(of course I fell apart my 3rd week lol)

Outside of shooting the 700, All the other things were first.

Opening day of Jr. Travel league, on the same team, two ppl shot 279 in the SAME GAME and it wasn't even their house.  And one of the guys on the opposing team was keeping up with his opponent (which she shot a 279), and he choked and shot 258, but that's really good since he just started up at the end of the last season, so I'm happy for him (I drill his stuff).  Then 2nd week another guy, different team, shots a 279.  I'm only hoping for a 300 to come out of me. I've had about 4 279's and no 300's  who knows what'll happen next week.
