Hello all,
It's been a while, as I have been tied up with a whole slew of things this fall, and I hope all of you are doing well, especially if you are in the parts of the US battling the dreadful storms. Now, on to one of the enjoyable things, bowling. I have mentioned previously that I am a slow tweener, with a ball speed with my 14lb. ball of between 12-14 mph, with around (now) 320 revs. I roll on a pretty straightforward medium house shot, and actually like the 1500 grit polished Storm finish on my Hy-Road for my benchmark ball. There are times, where the shot gets a tad slicker, with heavier conditioner, or I have encountered younger two-handed players using urethane, and am looking for a ball to "ball up" to in these situations to compliment my fav, my Hy-Road. I do know that two strong options are the Code Red, which seems to be reviewed very positively, and the Timeless, which seems to be polarizing. Both share that R2S hybrid cover that is my favorite, in my preferred surface prep. The question is, which core would better compliment my goals? The 14 pound core numbers lead me to suspect the Code Red may be better for this purpose, yet I know that usually, for those of us with less ball speed, they tend to recommend the symmetrically balls like the Timeless. I have the option of the testing most of the Storm/Roto line in just under two weeks at a demo, but I am also open to other brands, if anyone has a suggestion or recommendation. Thanks again for reading this long post out of nowhere, and I look forward to your advice.
