Just wondering what everyone thinks is the best current symmetricial heavy oil bowling ball? What is your favorite drilling? 4x4, 5x3, 3 3/8x 3 3/8?

Mark me down as another vote for the Reign of Fire.  That ball is smooth & strong on heavy oil. I had a chance to roll it on viper & shark during a Storm clinic with Belmo & Tim Mack.  Now I just need to save some scratch to get this ball.

Mega Recovery hooks more than the Reign of Fire, and more than the Jacked
if you want to cover the most area look at the Mega Friction from AMF

Sorry.
No way a Reign of Fire will handle more oil than a Mega Friction, a Dynamic Power or an Ogre Particle. It may hook more but it will not handle more oil.

1++ with Charlest, nothing compares to a MF in oil unless it might be AMB Particle, yet it was at 320 grit with a heavy part. load.

It doesn't handle as much as the Mega Friction, but it handles more than the other two.

Charlest still is correct on this, the Reign of fire, does not handle as much oil as Dynamic or Ogre particle.

I would put money on that

Don't know what volume others are seeing but a hi rev power tweener had issues on what I'd call upper medium using his Reign of Fire.  I guess he was thinking the same thing people here are but woke up and moved five boards right to stop leaving 2-8-10s.  I wouldn't venture saying it's as strong as others think it is.

Hmmmm well here's my experience using a RoF at a Storm demo day plus my experiences using both the Ogre Particle and the AMB Centaur Particle.  I can't compare to the MegaFriction as I've never thrown one but have the other three that I mentioned.

AMB Centaur Particle handles most oil at OOB but it almost unusable unless on a flood.  You need to take it to P2000 and up to be able to use it on what I'd term heavy oil.

Ogre Particle good heavy oil ball to heavy-medium not as much flare as the RoF but there could be a direct comparison between them both for heavy oil.

If, I had a choice I'd take the RoF for heavier and I am a Visionary user.  The RoF surprised me and was able to be used at practice on a Natl's practice lane condition.  The RoF did very well on it's ability to keep the ball in the pocket more so than I'd say the others would.  This is just my experience.  Layouts were similar and OOB surfaces.
