Best heavy oil balls on the market
« on: January 30, 2011, 11:31:15 PM »
Hi everyone!
I was just wondering in everyone's opinion what the best heavy oil ball out there would be?  I know it's a pretty broad question, but my I got a used corner back in October (I have no idea how many games were on it) and it seems to be dying out.  I've been doing research and am deciding on either the new mission 250k, C System Alpha Max, or Virtual Gravity Nano.  Any other suggestions?  Thanks!

Easily the 916AT just due the balls versatility alone. It's nice to have a ball that I can shine up and get a totally different reaction, and then bring the surface down for when I need to combat the flood. It should be noted that even with a more aggressive surface the ball still maintains a fairly angular backend...a rarity for an oiler.

+1 on this.  I just got the 916AT and rolled it last Friday in my mixed league and had my 2nd highest set ever.  (630- 175, 243, 212 I know...not amazing, but was for me)  First game I rolled in practice with it was a 237.  I'm a 185ish avg bowler.  But I can see my little handicap disappearing quickly rolling this bad boy!

You might consider the VG Nano on reputation alone.  The original VG was a huge seller for a reason.  I've also been pretty pleased overall with Storm and RG equipment, whereas I can't say the same about Ebonite stuff.(Though I really like the Hammer value lines - Raw, Vibe, Hardcore.)
