JustRico -- True, spans are critical. But in dealing with my customers using balls drilled by someone else, I've found that most of the time their spans are correct. But I've had quite a few that have stiff joints, that I would use 1/2 - 3/4 reverse on, that are throwing balls with forward pitch. And even with the correct spans finger joint pain results. I am an example of this. Before I learned to fit and drill my finger holes were drilled at 1/4 forward pitch. My ring finger joint hurt every time I bowled. After learning to fit and checking my own joint flexibility, I changed that to 3/4 reverse and no more pain. Also, no loss of revs. -- JohnP
