Well, I'm sure there are several other balls that people will want to see added to that list. I know I can think of quite a few oil-eating balls right off the top of my head. In any case, from the list you provided, I think the Centaur AMB Particle takes the cake in terms of pure oil-handling ability. I've never seen a lane with enough oil to make one of those truly usable. It wanted to start hooking before it left the ball return, it was that early! So, while I don't think it was the best ball of that group by any means, if you're talking about the ball that had the ability to handle the longest, slickest, heaviest oil you could throw at it, the AMB Centaur Particle would get my vote.

I've thrown 5 of the balls on your list. Based on what you've listed I'd say the VG.
Based on longevity I'll take the El Nino X-it. I think it came out in 1997 and I still use mine on occasion. It covers as many boards as the VG, just in a different way - more midlane and less backend.

my brunswick goliath and mammoth were both high load particle balls and the only time i saw "too much" oil were on a couple of pba regional patterns.

I'm gonna go with the AMB Particle, Super Carbide Bomb, or GP2. Hard to beat a dull high-load particle ball for heavy stuff.

well for everything being made or just made recently, i would have to go with the AMF Mega Friction, that ball hooks from any part of the lane, its crazy how much that ball hooks, ill go as far as to say it even out does the VG
i wont go as far as to say its the most hooking ball ever cause of course i havent thrown everything but the Mega Friction is up there with the rest of them

AMB Particle. You see guys picking off the 4 pin or going in the left side gutter with their first shot using the ball.

That I've thrown, the Track Enforcer. Got a Vitual Gravity sitting around, looking pretty, maybe one day I'll find enough oil to throw it on, maybe...

I only have 2 of the ones you listed. And out of box of those 2 I pick the Attitude Shift. I have control, good midlane & energy on the backend. Love that ball.

Lane 1 Super Carbide Bomb
Visionary Midnite Scorcher
As for what's on your list, it's a toss up between the Visionary AMB Particle and Columbia's EPX-T1

AMB PARTICLE, with a doubt!!!!! EPX was decent, Maxx zone is good, Virtual Gravity is nasty, and I've also owned the Twisted, Cell, and a very underated Yeah Baby, (heavy diamond particles), but I have 2 amb's, I always take to tournaments, ALWAYS!!! the don

When we went to Nationals in 2007, everyone's heavy oiler was basically going straight on the lanes. Nobody could get any angle on the pocket. Cept for one guy who was throwing the AMB, and hooking the entire lane!!!
He almost made it seem as if there wasn't enough oil out there, for his ball!
I haven't seen a Mega Fricton in action yet, so I can't comment on that one.
I actually loved the Lane#1 Super Carbide bomb, but I didn't consider it a true oiler. For me it was excellent holding a line and exploding at the pocket. It was not a ball I would say, comes back from anywhere.

Hey! Pimptrey!! You must have zero speed on your balls, cause I still own both of those pieces, and never once considered them heavy oilers! Even back in the day, I used those on medium oil max. And most times I used the Edge on light!
