Vertex, for 10+ years, serving the individual bowler and the pro shop. INCREDIBLE service. I have a 1/3 hp. original; they didnt offer 1/2 hp at that time.

After the warranty was up (2006), about 3+ years into my ownership, I heard a rattling sound. I sent them an email inquiring what I could do. Vertex told me to ship it to them. They fixed it like new, did not charge me a penny and shipped it back at their expense (Michigan to NJ, 32 lb. not cheap). It's been working perfectly ever since. That's 10 years of ownership and use, both my own balls and many friends.

That's service and quality!!

I forgot to mention, I own a Vertex 1/2HP.  I bought it used and have never had an issue with it.  Really cannot go wrong with Innovative or Vertex to be honest, I've just had great service with Innovative on other Pro Shop items.

Innovative and Vertex are the two most popular brands, and both are good. You can't go wrong with either.

I'm a black sheep in that I have a Donkee.  :)  I have the 3/4 HP two speed model, and after 12 years of continuous service, no issues. I like the two speed because I'm really able to burn in polish at the higher speed. Some say the higher speed isn't necessary, but I like it.

The Donkee has a bad rap for vibration, but for me it's not a problem. It sits on my Black and Decker workbench, and stays in place. I've never had a ball go out of round. I'll probably buy another Donkee if the one I have ever wears out.

I had a donkee, hated it.  It would not stay on my workbench.  I did like the "flower pot" splash guard versus using a tote.  I was too scared to use the high speed due to the thing wanting to walk off of my workbench.

Again, I've heard and understand the rap. You're not the first to voice the complaint. All I can offer is personal experience. Hundreds of sessions at low and high speed without the thing jumping off my bench. At high speed for polishing, you can positionally set the ball where the core doesn't wabble, so it's never an issue. The minimal vibration that can occur at low speed doesn't affect sanding operations.

I know all the purchase options, and I can say I'd probably get the Donkee again. The benefits from it's versatility (for me) outweigh whatever minor vibration issues that might be inherent in the unit.
