Exactated thumb insert bubbles problem
« on: September 22, 2008, 01:51:42 PM »
Hi guys, I need ideas and help with the problem i'm having. I'm using the exactated thumb insert plug materials. I've tried making one and the problem start when mixing the resin and the hardener. I stir for about 1 minute. I dont like the bubbles formed when i'm pouring it into the mold. Is there anything I can do?

exactly what I have found with our two composite materials (science... bla balb.. .etc...)
The slower you mix the stuff the less air you bring in... the best is slow and even mixing.
What "tool" do you use for mixing? that also has an effect .. slightly but it is there.
Use a round object (stick) instead of a broad and flat one.

Use wizard plug material and you'll never have a problem.

I second the Twister...

Best feel for a poured slug I have used and I have tried them all.
