Staff members! How dumb are some of you?
« on: January 18, 2010, 01:46:35 AM »
You are given a chance of a lifetime  to be on the staff of a ball company. You are given
free equipment, based on your contract it could be only X amount of $ per year in
credit for your equipmetnt.Or it could be free without limits. Then some of you turn
around a totally disrespect the company, by selling your used and new equipment
to somebody,( which in most instances is against your contract.)Why would you do such
dumb and ungrateful thing.Give the equipment away. This will make you and the company
look so much  better. You will be impressing upon other bowlers that may want to
try your companies equipment how nice you are, and you just may convert a bowler
to try your company again in the future  if they like the equipment you gave them.
Their next purchase my be from your company.
This is great advertising and marketing. When they see you selling things they may
think you have little respect for your company. They may not care either, they may only
be looking out for themselves also. The point is, Stop it.Don't be like them.
You see the guys on the tour at tournaments and TV giving away equipment all the
time .Do you know how much of a fan you may have just made if they were not a fan already.
Also the pro shops see a used ball or new one brought into the shop and are told that
a staff member sold them the ball. This is not  using common sense guys.
If you are on staff, act like a professional, not some person looking to make a extra buck for yourself!

My understanding is the pros can sell them at the cost of what they paid for drilling.

but sellig at cost does not warrent putting balls on "ebay". I do remember seeing a ball from Wiseman and i'm not sure about others. i've been staying away from ebay lately.

I could understand the selling at cost (to plug that is) but to auction them .. atleast on ebay... a auction in line of a charity would be different.
