Just looking for some insight on what may be the best fit if anyone can give some. I know the remix isn't out yet but I'm looking to fill a hole in my bag.
Currently, I use an original guru for fresh heavy/long patterns, and I also have a primal rage that's one of my favorite balls of all time and is best when lanes are transitioning. I need something in between the two. Both the remix and mighty seem to make sense due to the cores/covers they use, although they have different shapes.
My guru is pin up with a low hole, very strong ball that reads early yet still finishes well. I often need something a touch cleaner that'll still give me a good backend. The Primal, which is pin under middle, goes too long to be the perfect ball down from the guru. I love the shape of the Primal, but often times it's not enough ball to use as a starting piece. I'd like something that's a bit earlier than the primal but still has a strong backend. I don't need something that's early and smooth.
Would the Remix be the answer? Or would the cover strength cause it to be too early and smooth down lane for what I'm looking for? Or would it be better to go with a Guru Mighty, which from what I've seen doesn't lose it's backend or energy retention even with a pin down layout?
Right now I have a Reax V2 Solid that I intend to replace at some point, it's my main benchmark ball. It fits between the Guru and Primal perfectly however it's very smooth and doesn't create enough angle when they're breaking down. Basically I'm looking for something to complement that shape.
Additionally, I have nothing pin down in my bag besides the primal, and pin under middle usually rolls best for me, so whichever ball I look to drill will probably have that layout.
Which would be best to go with? Or am I completely off base with this and should I make room for both balls in my bag?
Thanks in advance!
