I think most people bowl better in winter. The humidity in the summertime messes with too many things, thumbholes, approaches, lanes. At least everything is always cold in the winter (most places), it's a constant, whereas summer days can be hot and dry, or warm and humid, and that really does a number on certain things. Can't slide in the summertime, that's the biggest thing I've noticed. I'm gonna get one of those slide socks from Smash49 once I get paid . .

Forget Kung Fu, I know Ron Bahr!!!
The only difference between youth and adult leagues are that the big boys are allowed to whine. They're more entertaining anyway.

I tend to agree that I bowl better on the winter leagues too. Living in my neck of the woods is pure heat and humidity during the summer months, and this introduces even more variables into the game. Plus, it feels strange walking into the bowling center in the middle of the afternoon.....I associate bowling with a nighttime activity, so it feels more natural in the winter months.
