Beware of a Bad seller kidandy36 in Ebay
« on: May 05, 2011, 12:44:28 PM »
I brought a fitting ball in ebay, normally not a cheap price with similar products for 2nd handed in ebay.

however, found it was cracked on shell up on the finger area, which is not mentioned in the bid

seller said this is normal for a 'used' item and not affect the function, i don't agree

i have esculated this to Ebay protection and asked for at least discount for compensation of being brought a dispective item wihout any notice, but .... nightmare happened

Seller refuse this is a 'crack', before the 14 days esculation process reached, and Ebay agree to full refund BUT need me to pay the shipping cost to return the ball to seller first !

Thank you for getting in  touch with eBay Customer Support about the fitting system (item  190515963942) you purchased from "kidandy36" which opened a  Significantly Not as Described Case. I'm sorry to hear that the  transaction did not go as expected.

I understand your concern about the  shipping costs I know what an inconvenience that is however before we  are able to issue you a refund we will need to make sure the item is  delivered.

Again, it is  important for you to know that the case will be closed automatically and  no refund can be issued if tracking information is not added to the  case within 10 days. When adding the tracking information into the  Resolution Centre, you will need to click on submit, it will then take  you to another page saying tracking has been entered and a refund will  be issued upon delivery. PLEASE NOTE: On this page, there is a confirm  button on the bottom of this page that must be clicked in order for a  refund to be issued to you. Failure to click on confirm will cause the  claim to time out, and no refund be issued. Also, tracking must be  entered within 10 days to the minute or the claim will time out with no  refund to be issued.

of course I don't agree because i am the victim and why need me to pay extra money on someone fault ?

seller post the ball in ebay again without my confirmation to ship back but this time mentioned there is a crack !

I complain to Ebay and the seller,,, however, no one reply, now, i can only keep for no choice

in before, PayPal and Ebay always return some compensation of similar dispective item or no need to pay extra money from buyer for return...but now,,, very disappointed, and consider never buy 2nd handed product (or anything that may be fake) in Ebay again.

Chalk it up as a loss and then send it to Jayhawk to have it fixed.  It will not be a cheap fix, but they will repair any of their fitting balls to brand new condition.

I need a fitting ball and I am very hesitant to buy on ebay for the same reasons you just experienced.  The newer Jayhawk balls break very easily if a customer drops them by accident.  They are not as well made as the older models(Jayhawk/AMF).

I know a shop that had theirs break like that the 1st day they got it.  Customer by accident dropped it on the tile floor and it cracked.
