Big 4, any awards?

My teammate picked up a big 4 last night, and I always thought that USBC gives out a patch for it. And so I told my teammate to ask the president of the league to see if there was any awards for it. But he didn't think they do. Ask the other teams and they don't seem to think so either. Has anyone received any award for picking the big 4 up? Just asking for a friend and teammate, because I thought that was an amazing split to pick up.

yes there is a big 4 and 7-10 split
its in there rule book
also the secy has special award forms
for that stuff as  all spare game
dutch 200 game and 140 over series, 75 over average
100 over average and splits

check with league secy next week its his job

have secy pull out the rule book look at it.

Thanks guys,

I just went to bowl.com and saw that there was a patch for it. I'll let my teammate know. It was the first time I've seen one picked up and thought it was something to rare not to have at least a patch for. But even if there's no award, there were about 20 bowlers that witnessed the pick up, and I know I'll always remember seeing one.

I would suggest that you print out that page and hand it to the secretary.  You might save yourself an argument with an uninformed league secretary.

I think that is the only split I've never seen anyone make in person beside Walter Ray Williams making it on tv.

Personally I think it's the hardest split there is to make for me and most have made everything else. I think it's harder then the 7-10.
