return to bowling
« on: June 20, 2009, 11:55:14 AM »
after a self-imposed layoff for 8 weeks i went to bowl today. no great expectations here, just trying to get my timing and muscle memory back. one word would describe today......rusty. rusty as a nail that fell into a pond. i didn't even bother with a reactive ball. took my plastic ball and played straight down the boards in the dry part of the lane. how many of you are very rusty on your "return" ?

Gregg, don't worry you will get it no problem.

It has taken me 2 months to get back to feeling okay after my 10 month layoff.  I feel I'm about 70% now.  I almost went and bowled the Regional in Wichita this weekend, but just don't feel sharp enough.

I'm glad to be back, drilled a few new balls, and am having fun.  Just gotta make some money.  Missed cashing in a couple scratch things the last two weekends by 30-40 pins both times.  Did I mention I hate strikefests?  Oh well, should be in good shape for Vegas in 11 days.
