Another question about HONOR SCORE awards
« on: March 27, 2004, 09:20:59 AM »

I've e-mailed the ABC this question but they haven't gotten back to me and I need to turn in the award form in the next day or two. And our House Secretary and House Owner don't even know what to do, either... so we're
all confused!

I just shot a 299 game (stupid 9-pin on the last ball ) this past Thursday Night and I was wondering how do I need to fill out the award form?

What I mean is this:

On my Thursday Night league, we bowl 4 games instead of 3 games, and I shot the 299 in the 4th game. But, on the award form it only has 3 "slots/boxes" for the first 3 games and the 1 "slot/box" for the Series TOTAL... and no box for the 4th game.

So what do I do? How do I fill it out? Do I just drop the 1st game's score and then put my 2nd game score in the 1st box, 3rd game in the 2nd box, 4th game in the 3rd box? If that's correct... then what do I put for the Series TOTAL?

I'm confused! And our house secretary and house owner don't even know what to do, either.

Thanks!

Thanks Phatdon!

Well, actually I'm not elegible (is that spelled right?) for a 299 ring because I've already shot a 299 this year (well it was actually about 6 weeks ago on February 4) so I will be getting a ring for that one, so I guess I'll be getting a Plaque for this 299 from this past Thursday Night.

This may be a stupid question - but will I get the 299 Plaque for FREE or will I have to pay for it?

Thanks!

RexB,

Are you saying that I should just put the 299 in the 1st little box, and not put anything in the other 2 boxes and nothing in the Series Total box either?

What I would do is call ABC at the number listed on the website.
Phone: 1-800-514-Bowl (2695)

You will definalty get your answer before you hang up the phone.

just put 299 anywhere and just put 2 of your other scores, they dont check or care, as long as the secretary signs it that you shot 299 is all that they care, not a big problem, if abc actually checked that hard we would just be getting awards we shot 3 years ago

And Then...........

I left another 10 pin

You WILL not get another 299 award score, regardless whether you choose the plaque or clock. There is one of each ABC honor score allowed per bowling season..

Congrats on the score though..

If they only made a ball that would carry that d*mn 10 pin..

Are you serious?

I thought that I could still get a 299 Plaque (though I may have to pay for it, not sure?), eventhough I've already gotten a 299 ring this season.

You can only receive one free award per category per season.  This pertains to 800's, 300's, 700's, etc.

Since you've already received a 299 award you can not get another free award in this category until next season.

The only way you can get the plaque this year is if you pay the full cost for it.  If you choose to do that it will cost you around $40.

Hope this helps.

ksm300,

So, what do I do with award form? Do I put down that I want the 299 Plaque and include the 40.00 with it... or, do I put down that I want the 299 Plaque and send the award form off, and then a little later the ABC will send me a letter in the mail with pricing's and an order form to buy the Plaque?
