Ball Engravement
« on: September 06, 2007, 08:56:52 PM »
Hi All,

I was wondering of anyone has a experience with a custom bowling ball engravement and if it's allowed.

We want to engrave about 10 (spare) bowling balls with the logo/name of our sponsor on it. But i am wondering of it's allowed and if any one of you has an experience with it.

Thanks in advantage

The only issue I'd have is that the label serves to identify the ball and can be used to determine the legality of it.  If the balls have the USBC* logo, there shouldn't be a problem.  I know you can re-engrave logos and serial numbers if they are worn off.

You might want to fire off an e-mail to the USBC.  I know you're not in the US, but they'd know what's what for USBC competition.  Overseas organizations should have similar rules.

Allot will  depend on the type of engraving and where this engraving will be placed on the ball.
