Thats almost unbelievable but very inspiring. Just goes to show that just because people has disabilites doesn't make them any worse off then anyone else. Very interesting find!

Although I understand what you're trying to say I think...you may have worded this a little wrong. Not being a jerk, just making sure you're saying something like, "People with disabilities can achieve their goals with hard work and determination." Because the way you worded it made it sound like it is no disadvantage whatsoever to be BLIND! "doesn't make them any worse off," sounds like you're saying it's no more difficult for someone who can't see. Again, please don't mis-read this as being a jerk, because I'm 1/2 way confident that I agree with you...just making sure.
That being said, this is an amazing feat. I wonder what type of bowler he is. I can't imagine lining up to throw a hook without sight. Crazy.

Yeah its just worded weird I guess. Kind of what Im sayin is like people put down others with disabilities thinking that they can't do certain things because of their disabilities. As to where this shows that they can do things just like everyone else. Its a great story.

Simply awesome. And, no, it does not reduce the credibility of the sport whatsoever.
...also gives more credence to John "Count" Gengler's bowling a 300 in the dark in 1919-1920...

I am going to say no. He doesnt seem the type to have bowled on a sport shot.

i know a guy thats blind and he bowls not sure if he has ever had a 300 but i do know his avg is over 210

What this proves is simply what's been said for a long time. Bowling is a sport of repeatability. If you repeat what your doing then you stand a good chance at throwing 300. It is when you start to over analyze, that you out think the oil and blow good games. I do it all the time. If I just kept doing the same thing I would be fine. But I try to plan ahead and get myself caught up in over thinking the pattern. This guy has a repeatable process and that is what allows him to average 188 and throw a 300 without seeing the pins or the lane....or the oil. Ha.

This has got me thinking....
Do you really need a target on the lane to throw too?
This guy obviously has the mechanics down and can do it.
You get on the approach and before you throw, everything is "locked in". There is no aiming....just take your steps and throw.

Guy who bowls with one leg in the house I bowl at. In Worlds Archery 3D shoot I practiced at the range with a gentlemen with one arm, he held the release he had made with his mouth, he was VERY good at it too.

There is a guy that is legally blind that bowls in the house I bowled at this year. He shot 300 and averages low 200. He just throws the ball up the boards..and when he leaves a pin his teammates have to tell him which one it is.
It's nuts to watch actually.

Century Lanes had pretty much shut down at that point. No one else was bowling. And everyone had left the bar. They all stood behind Lanes 3 and 4, waiting and watching to see whether Davis could bowl the alley's first perfect game in its 24-year history.

Congrats! I'm legally blind in my right eye(right handed) and quickly heading towards it in my left eye. With my contact in I have problems focusing on the arrows and it just will get worse. I have practiced without corrective lenses to see if I will be able to continue when I can't see. I't aint easy. You have problems just not falling when you slide. I guess I will slowly get used to it as my sight leaves me, but this guy gives my some hope that I will still be able to compete.

THIS is a GREAT accomplishment! I have often trouble with the term blind!!
Completely?(see nothing), partially?
WHY....
Because I have trouble conceiving of a person averaging over 210 while completely blind or having a 5 handicap in golf with the condition of complete blindness.
I DO Believe a 300 can be thrown by a person with complete blindness! But long term high level performances for a COMPLETELY blind person I have trouble conceiving of.....AND....I'm a person who sees the possibilities....
