In my 5 person traveling scratch league there are some interesting match ups that can occur.

There are certain teams we bowl that generally seem to kill us. My team seems to open the lane up for the other team. We have to get them early in order to win any games.

There are other teams that they seem to do the same for us.

The other thing is that it is a second shift league and you don’t know what you are going to get for sure.

Sometimes you get fresh conditions, sometimes you follow a mixed skill league, and sometimes you follow better league bowlers using high performance balls.  

Some teams like fresh lanes better, some like the lanes broken down better.

I know there are certain teams I would prefer to against on fresh conditions, others I would prefer chewed up conditions.
