O-O  The finished slug goes into the hole drilled with your pitches with the vent lined up with the center line.

Hightrack..........better ask a few more folks about setting your jig pitches , if you've set your slug at 1/8rv x 1/8rt  aand use 0x0 on your jig, your thumb pitch at the oval will be 0x0

I believe the question was about drilling a slug in the Ferrari drill jig. If that is the case, I stand by my answer!!!

Any time you drill a slug using the IT jig (old or new), you always drill 0x0, regardless if its an round or oval hole.  The pitches are drilled into the actual bowling ball, that is one reason why you always have to trim the top of the new slug to be even with the ball.

So, Raider (or should I say Giant) is correct plus, he is the expert on Vise IT.

Thanks for the credits Stan! I assume that the other poster DOES NOT have the "Ferrari " jig or else he's having a LOT OF PROBLEMS understanding the instructions.
